My name is Hayley Stewart, I live in Christchurch, New Zealand with my husband Jamie and my three little girls, Olivia, Sophia and Gabriella. They are energetic and crazy and full of sunshine. The husband is mad about football and I am mad about scrapbooking.

Twelve years ago I fell in love with this hobby and I am more passionate about it now than ever. It brings together three things that I love, photos, stories and memories.

I have a real interest in typography and that reflects in my pages, overall my style is simple and the story is really important to me. I try to create something every day and as the saying goes I will make beautiful things even if no one cares.

I am thrilled to be joining the team at Challenge Me Happy and am looking forward to getting started.

Hello Happy Scrappers!

I’d like to start this post by introducing you to our THREE NEW DT members! A huge welcome to:

HAYLEY STEWART – Christchurch, NZ

HEIDI BARCLAY – Christchurch, NZ

Stay tuned for introductions of our new DT girls next week, and to see some of their fabulous work!

Now for this fortnight’s challenge. I’m very excited to introduce our sponsor for this challenge:

C’est Magnifique Kits

C’est Magnifique Kits is a US-based company whose kits predominantly feature ‘hard to find’ international papers. You will find papers from Denmark, Poland, France and many other countries. We have also featured embellishments from Australia, the UK and Poland.

If you are looking for a kit club that serves something a little bit different, come check us out! We would love it if you jumped right in on our forums and gallery. We hope to see you there!

The winner of this fortnights challenge will win a mini kit from C’est Magnifique!!

And this time we challenge you with a technique – SEWING!

Stitching by hand or machine sewing does not matter, just make sure the sewing is prominent in your project!

Our DT has as always come up with some fabulous example. Michelle have used products sponsored by Scrappin’ Patch for this challenge.

Now we want to see your take on this! Please enter a project that is made EXCLUSIVELY for this challenge. If you don’t, your entry will not be considered for the prize.

Upload the link to your blog post or gallery post with your creation before midnight 15 September NZ time (GMT + 12 hours) here:

Hello, my name is Norine.  I’m a not-quite-50 yr old, mother of 4+ a daughter-in-law, married to Paul for 30 years, misplaced Canadian living in Arizona. I’ve been “scrapping” since my teens, but made it my official hobby in 2003.  Before that it was cross stitch, folk art painting, pretty much anything “crafty”.All my life I have loved photos. Even ones of people I don’t know. And I’ve loved the stories that each photo tells. But eventually the story-tellers are gone and (if we’re lucky) the photo albums remain and while it’s fun to imagine the story behind each picture, it’s much more satisfying to know the real story. That is what motivates me to put pictures and pen to paper.  Well, that and the patterned paper.  Oh, and the mists and rub-ons and ribbon and chipboard.

Four kids, one endlessly supportive husband and many varied interests (cooking, reading, snowboarding, travel, photography, cottaging) provide me with more photos than I will ever get scrap booked, but in the meantime, I’m having a great time messing around with fun and artistic techniques and products. And when I need to sound more credible, I refer to myself as the “Guardian of my Family’s History”.  I’m thrilled to be part of the Challenge Me Happy DT and I’m looking forward to PLAYING with you all!!

My name is Hannah, I’m 33 years old and have been married to Rob for almost 13 years. We have 2 boys, Ethan (9) and Tyler (7). We live right near the beach on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast, just north of Auckland, NZ. I work from home full time as a medical writer and editor. I love reading, writing, photography, singing, rugby, baking, crosswords, the beach … and of course, scrapbooking!

I started scrapbooking ‘properly’ in 2005, when Tyler was a baby. Primarily, I scrapbook because I love the creative outlet. It’s relaxing, therapeutic and allows me to express myself. Preserving memories for my family and future generations is a bonus, but I make sure that all my layouts tell a story. For this reason, I almost always include journalling on my pages. My work is quite varied, and I don’t think I have one particular style. I like to try lots of different things, depending on my mood, the products I am using, and the photos I am scrapbooking.

Over the years I have been on several Design Teams, and I have been published in all the major NZ and Australian scrapbooking magazines. I feel privileged and very excited to be joining the “Challenge Me Happy” team, and I look forward to inspiring you and being inspired myself.

My name is Missy Whidden.  I am 35, and I’ve been married to Marshall for 11 years.  We’ve been together for 17!  We have two beautiful little girls.  Reese is five and Paige is two.  They are the light of our lives!  We live in a small town called Frostproof, Florida.  I’m a stay-at-home mom, and I am also a Spinning instructor at our YMCA.  When I’m not scrapping, I love exercising, reading and doing fun things with my family.

I started scrapping in the summer of 2006, just before Reese was born.  I helped my mother-in-law put together a baby book for my husband, and I was instantly hooked!  I love the creativity that comes with scrapping.  I love patterned paper, inks, mists and bright colors.  I can’t really describe my style…I like to try everything!  I love letting my photos be the center of the page, and I almost always use them as my inspiration.  I love working with sketches and challenges.  I’m so excited to be a part of the Challenge Me Happy team!  Thank you so much for having me!
